I have no information that shows that David A. Turner has cooperated with federal authorities or other members of law enforcement or with the Gardner Museum itself in efforts to recover the artwork that was stolen from the museum in March 1990. The statement on p172 of my book MASTER THIEVES which quoted Turner's lawyer as saying that the reason Turner had written a letter to a suspect in the case was because of "FBI's insistence" was incorrect. I apologize for the error.
